FBC Manby Bowdler are award winning, West Midlands based solicitors offering a wide range of personal and business services.

Best in class candidate experience

FBC Manby Bowdler wanted to increase the overall benefits for its employees beyond contractual benefits such as pension and holidays, for existing employees and new hires.

Creating a best in class candidate experience was the aim to not only attract the brightest minds but to set the scene for the employment experience they can expect at the firm. The employee benefits scheme not only allows FBC Manby Bowdler to compete with other law firms locally but also helps to attract talented individuals from around the country in other sectors.

The firm were looking to select a benefits partner that could not only deliver a proven and easy to adopt scheme but also had similar values of delivering exceptional customer service. The solution had to be easy to implement, easy to use for employees and simple to maintain.

Great communication drives uptake

Constant and clear communication during the roll out and since launch has helped drive up adoption of the scheme by employees.

“A change in spending habits was required for employees to make good use of the scheme and make their salary go further, and was our greatest challenge during roll out” commented Donna Clark, HR Consultant.

A positive scheme uptake was achieved through regular communication on the company intranet and placing the scheme ‘front of house’ with posters in high traffic areas reminding people of the benefits they could consume.

Valued by employees

Overall the adoption rate is positive, with employees really valuing FBC Manby Bowdler’s commitment to make the firm a great place to work and deliver the shared vision for the firm.

“Education on why and how employees can best make use of the scheme and appeal to individual requirements is an ongoing process for our HR and communications team, and You at Work are always on hand to help us.” explained, Donna Clark.
