‘Push’ benefits for added value as we move from Summer into Autumn…
We’ve been incredibly active behind the scenes this Summer and we often say that we’re the best kept secret and here’s why…
… we continually add value to our clients: we make sure they get easy access to the best benefit providers in the market; we provide extensive comms to keep their scheme alive; we give them tools that make admin as easy as pie; and… we don’t charge a fee that breaks the bank!
Driven by a pandemic …
At the start of the pandemic we knew how busy our clients were and how stressed and worried their employees must have been.
So, we responded with a new proposition we call ‘Push’ Benefits. Basically, employee-focused benefits, offering great savings and free introduction periods, but without a payroll footprint for the employer and no set up or implementation fees.
We deployed these benefits by asking our clients a month before to withdraw if they didn’t want them for any reason… the result was a 98% uptake from our clients and great employee engagement. We even managed all the communications for them. We also made sure that every Cycle to Work customer had a Cycle insurance benefit sitting alongside their scheme (the stats on uninsured cyclists are scary so we wanted to offer support).
… continued as part of our mission
As the ‘push’ proved so popular we have kept going to continue our mission of always providing added value and giving something extra. Lately we’ve ‘pushed’ these great benefits:
- Food intolerance testing from YorkTest, which has had an incredible take-up, perhaps indicative of so many employees with these types of issues. Helping them get to the root cause of their intolerances and allergies will certainly have an impact on absenteeism and productivity.
- Mobile phone insurance from SO-SURE has enabled employees to get a £15 Reward Pot Bonus and get up to 40% cheaper insurance than mobile networks.
As Autumn approaches we’re about to add even more including an Eyecare Plan, one of the top 3 most desired employee benefits, Pet Insurance and a new online broking service for Life insurance, Income Protection and Critical Illness Cover.
From my first day at You at Work, I have been driven to provide great benefits and remove blockers for scheme development. In my humble opinion, You at Work are the best kept secret in this market. We offer so much inside an extremely conservative license fee. We have a genuine drive to add value and give budget back to the employer to internally support and sponsor the amazing things they do for their employees.

And more to come …
We’ve also been rolling out our online benefit catalogue, more on this here, and our new offering BenefitHut™, making benefits available for every size of business!
Whoever you have your benefits programme with, keep pushing them to add value for the fee you’re paying. And, if you want to be part of our ‘push’ into the Autumn, get in contact. We’d love to see how we can add that something extra to your employees.
